Each Ghost Shadow that waits for dawn to break at one loft races throughout the world,
knows the legacy of those who have gone before. As morning light greets the day, there
will come to each an ancient call upon the wind that echo’s “Summon your strength and courage”and never to yield this day. Holding the front
will allow each to return and take their place with former siblings in the hallowed halls of
Valhalla, where “The Brave…They Live Forever”

“Home of the Ghost shadows” The Legacy Ghost shadow – “Summon your strength and courage”. “The Brave…They Live Forever” My first introduction to the Team Catskill Family of pigeons was 2003 in Spring Hill, Florida where a White Grizzle Cock aptly named “The Ghost” scored over 16,500 points vs ninety (90) Lofts in the widely acclaimed One Loft Flamingo International Classic. My wife and partner Laura met John McGrenaghan at the Texas Shootout in 2005 where a Team Catskill USA entry scored 3rd average speed and a Friendship began to flourish. John spoke of his partners Rudy Zitz and Peter Miller and their efforts to blend a family of Grizzles by crossing long distance champions with a family locally known as “The Old Ones”. All three (3) were life long friends and their 2003 success in Florida was followed by an “Equal First” in Las Vegas in 2004.
I spoke in depth about my friend Charles Lee and our friendship which spanned over fourty years and our on going search for a championship family of pigeons. John departed the next day for Las Vegas and my cell phone rang that evening and John announced “Equal First again” with the brother of the 2004 winner. These two (2) brothers accounted for over 50,000 points and now stand stud at Valhalla. Rudy Zitz lost a long battle with illness in 2007. John and Peter relocated this family to MS and created the Valhalla Breeding center.
